Contents:

The history of philosophy narrates the origins of our own worldviews. Understanding it situates us to better orient ourselves with respect to our own present and future. With this aim, we will encounter historical thinkers who influenced philosophy and thus also ourselves. We will discover and dialogue with a colorful palette of authors from various times and philosophical traditions.

Methods:

Readings and discussion of key philosophical texts.

Assessment:

Three essays in the course of the semester.

Literature:

Will be discussed in the first class.
