summer semester 2020 | Last update: 16.12.2019 | Place course on memo listWe will get familiar with different concepts of “equality” and “inequality” in early modern and modern times and their development in the course of the centuries.
We will get to know different concepts of “equality” and “inequality” which where discussed or even realised since about 1500, reaching from concepts of the social contract during the Age of Enlightenment, concepts of equality and inequality during the American War of Independence, the French Revolution and the Revolution of 1848 to the developments in the 20th century and recent tendencies at the beginning of the 21st century.

Presentation of a paper and contributions to the discussion.
