We invite all student to actively participate in this course!

The research topics of Prof. Berkel & Prof. Krause are psychoanalysis, gender and generation, reproduction technologies, education in visual media; general education, memory studies, epistemic cultures;

Teaching in this course is team effort: Irene Berkel &Sabine Krause  support students to prepare and present their dissertation project, they take part and guide academic discussions throughout class. This means that all students are asked to actively participate in class and work on their research project continually.

At the first meeting in March, we will provide details on semester planning. During summer term we will support students in group meetings and one-on-one meetings during office hours (Wednesday mornings); additionally short assignments will help to develop individual research projects, and we will provide constructive feedback whenever needed.

In class and in group meetings we will use discussions and loud thinking to explore topics and possible methods for research with focus on students research interests. We help to structure ideas to the end of concise research exposés and help to shine light on further research questions. Critique and philosophical approaches to research topics will guide the way to more precision in thinking.
