Methodic reflected dealings with literary texts and the development of a reasoned understanding of the text; Reconsider patterns and habits of reading

Fantastic worlds are popular at the moment. Phantastische Tierwesen, Der kleine Hobbit, Herr der Ringe, Tribute von Panem, Avatar and so on take the audience out of everyday life. Reality serves as a background to the fantastic literature, it often implies a bipolarity of the immanent world of the text. These fantastic worlds have always been part of German literature. In which contexts fantastic literature is common, will be analysed in a mixture of literature for children, youth and adults such as texts from Gustav Meyrink, Franz Kafka, Christine Nöstlinger, Barbara Frischmuth und Sten Nadolny.
