Acquisition of reading and translation competence in Romanian

Basic understanding of Texts in Romanian even without knowledge of Romanian 

• Overwiew of the Romanian Language 
• The Focus of the Cours is: reading and translation skills will be developed during the semester

• In the beginning of the Semester we will work with short texts so that you can understand Romanian texts from the newspaper or Romanian textbooks, even without knowledge of Romanian.    
• Vocabulary and language structure that are similar to Spanisch and Italian
• Elements that are different in Spanisch and Italian 
• Pronunciation, accentuation, exercises 
• Similarities and differences based on various texts
• Language Contrast Romanian, Spanisch and Italian
• Why so "similar" but "different" 

• Presentation
• Interactive class and individual lessons
• Sistematic language comparison 
• Rolle playing will be used to practice in the classroom
• Reading of various texts in class 
• Conversation
• Listening Comprehension
• Lyrics, music, texts active participation in the group
• Existing knowledge in Spanisch and Italian serves to expand your knowledge of Romanian
• Didactic learning methods are announced at the beginning of the semester depending on the number of students

• Continuous assessment
• Regular written assignments, self-study
• Final translation exam

Good Level of Spanisch and Italian Language: minimum reading competence B2 to C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

The course is complemented by the lecture "Introduction to EuroCom" (course number 613071). Students wishing to complete optional module 8 (BA) or 3 (MA) need to attend both courses.
