summer semester 2020 | Last update: 19.05.2020 | Place course on memo listAcquisition of basic skills for dealing with historic sources and presentations of Contemporary History as well as skills in presenting the newly acquired knowledge orally as well as in writing. Acquisition of basic knowledge and application of relevant methods aiding scientific research.
Analyzing and contextualizing photographs as historical sources; developing historical questions towards photographs, historical representations/images and narratives.
Reading, oral presentations with handout, seminar paper, discussion; teacher's lecture.
Course with continuous performance assessment: attendance at all sessions, regular and active participation in discussions (oral and written), oral presentation with handout, seminar paper (max. 5 pages).
Reading list will be provided.
