Tutorial for critically analysing sources and for practicing methodological skills in the practice of ancient history.

On the basis of the historical findings, the relationship between society and nature is examined in general (perception of nature, interventions in nature). Using the example of natural disasters (earthquakes, volcanism, floods) in antiquity, their perception, the tangible explanatory models and the ways how societies deal with these exceptional events are discussed.
