Confrontation with various sources and narratives referring to the historic space and its relevant current political setting. Prospective historians are getting used to prepare excursions under specific topics.

This course will have a closer look on the entanglement of city, court and culture in the city of Munich in the later middle ages (1250-1500). We will have a slight focus on the literary works of the epoch.

 

Reading, discussion of relevant literature, preparation of material for the excursion.

Preparation of relevant topics for the excursion and final essay.
