Acquisition of key skills needed for critically interpreting historical sources and for presenting analytical results in written or oral form.
Guided reading and interpreting of key sources in the history of social movements.
Thematic introductions, practical exercises, short presentations; group work, discussions.
Compulsory attendance, students must participate in class and do practical exercices at home, including a short paper on a select sources.
Literature will be announced in the course.
Before attending this course it is recommended to complete the VO Basic Knowledge from the Economic and social history
