Students who completed this module understand the contents of the
lecture and are able to reproduce and apply them. They have the ability
to acquire similar contents by themselves. In addition, they are capable
of applying the considered methods to specific problems. Furthermore,
they have acquired an understanding of the theoretical and practical
aspects of the discussed topics in linear algebra.

Integers and polynomials (division with remainder, euclidean algorithm, extended euclidean algorithm, zeros of polynomials, prime numbers, irreducible polynomials, rational numbers and rational functions); calculation methods for numbers represented by digits; difference equations; factor rings and their applications in cryptography and coding theory; algebraic structures; computing with functions; algebraic and complex numbers; extension of number domains; interpolation by polynomials; multivariate polynomials; boolean algebra; introduction to graph theory and to combinatorics
