Introductory remarks as well as exercises: historical ancillary sciences and media studies, source and media criticism of digital resources in history.

The focus of this course is put on the ongoing changes in research and teaching in  history caused by digital development. Digital research resources, archives, libraries, an appropriate criticism of sources and media are also theoretically discussed and practically trained as well as new visualization possibilities and the use of social networks.

Lectures, practical exercises (online and offline), contribution to discussions, presentations, smaller written exercises.

Reading, oral presentations with handout, seminar paper, discussion; teacher's lecture.

Reading list will be provided.

Online-enrollment required, starting on Feb 1st, 2020.
