Students will have knowledge of the biotechnological production of food and are familiar with common micro- and molecular biological methods for quality assurance of foodstuff.
In the first part of the seminar microbiologically relevant fundamentals of food production and quality assurance are discussed. In the second part of the seminar the results of own experiments, performed within the practical course, are statistically analyzed. The results are discussed in the context of food production and quality assurance.

The assignment to the laboratory course (and the seminar) will be at the pre-departure meeting of the Institute of Microbiology at the beginning of the semester.
