743217-1 Forest ecology and forestry:
Students are able to understand the difficulties of managing forest ecosystems in an alpine environment, where multiple limitations (legal, economic, ecological) have to be considered. 

743217-2 Agroecology: Students understand which factors drive the agricultural production of plants and animals and they know which problems producers can face.

743217-3 Agroecology: Students understand which factors drive the agricultural  production of plants and animals and they know which problems producers can face.

743217-4 Aquatic ecology: Students will get an overview of different job profiles in aquatic ecology.


743217-1 Forest ecology and forestry:
In the exkursion the timber supply chain from the harvest in Tyrolean mountain forest to the timber procession in an industrial plant and the efficient use of timber  is shown.  The importance and limitations of renewable primary production and renewable energy and the need for an efficient use of forest resources is dicussed. 

743217-2 Agroecology: Within an excursion students will practically deal with aspects of arable production, grassland management, plant protection and animal husbandry. This offers direct interactions with practitioners to learn about their motivations and the framework of production possibilities.

743217-4 Aquatic ecology: One-day internship at different companies, public authorities and NGOs dealing with the investigation and managment of aquatic ecosystems. At the the of the semesters, students will present and discuss their experiences.
