Student teachers from diverse subject backgrounds will know the basics of the scientific concepts dealing with, e.g. pro-environmental behaviour (PEB), and education for sustainable development (ESD) and consumption. Latest findings from the fields of environmental psychology, didactics, and climate change communication and education will be discussed.

On a practical level, students further develop their basic competences in planning and implementing workshops and lesson units in a transdisciplinary setting together with pupils, teachers, and scientists. Precisely, the development and realisation of their teaching concepts for upper secondary school pupils will proof the practicability of their developed concepts, which are based on pupils' inputs, and will serve as a preparation for their time in service.
