Digitization has had a substantial impact on many aspects of modern economies, most notably in the realm of gathering, processing and sharing information. This course centers around the economics of information in a digitalized world, with a particular focus on the interaction of information technologies with human behaviour and decision-making. Case studies and real-world examples are used to emphasize the opportunities and pitfalls associated with digitalization. Students will learn about behavioural biases and heuristics, how new technologies can help us overcome them or use them to our advantage, and where behavioural biases might be reinforced or exploited by these technologies.

Relevant Magister/Diploma degree with 240 ECTS-Credits or a relevant bachelor`s degree or equivalent combined with three years of post-graduate professional experience.
