Students learn about principles of human behavior and particularly how modern technologies influence and shape our behavior.

The course addresses how the digital revolution affects human behavior and how we cope with/fall prey to the challenges the digital world brings. Students will hear about behavioral biases and how new technologies can help us overcome them or use them to our advantage (e.g. mental accounting), and when we are in danger of falling prey to them (“gamification”). A special emphasis on the course will be on nudging.
