222021 VO Methodic Introduction to the Excursion: La Città: Roma - Rome as "locus theologicus"
winter semester 2020/2021 | Last update: 26.11.2020 | Place course on memo listWe will learn to read and interpret Rome as a “locus theologicus”:
- its pre-Christian imprint
- as seat of the Bishop of Rome through time
- as modern, secular city and center of catholic Christianity
We will look at political, social and cultural aspects of our field trip to Rome by focusing on exemplary historical perspectives. This will provide us with a workable hermeneutical horizon for the other preparatory lecture course (222022).
