Participants are familiar with the fundamentals of Liechtenstein corporate and company law.

Although Liechtenstein is a small country with 160 square kilometers and about 40.000 inhabitants, it has a practically important and also interesting company law. The lecture offers a short overview of Liechtenstein private and especially company law, followed by an introduction to Liechtenstein corporate law. Aspects of digitalization (such as Token, Wertrechte) are also discussed. The main focus is on the practically important legal entities such as the AG, Anstalt, Stiftung and Trust.

Lecture and discussion. The focus of the lecture is determined by the interests of the participants.

Presentations, contributions to discussions and written or oral exam at the end of the semester.

Will be announced in the course.

Prior knowledge of Liechtenstein law is not required. Prior knowledge of Austrian company law is helpful, but also not a requirement.
