The participants will acquire the ability to phrase legal texts in German language in an impeccable way, considering legal terminology, syntax and grammar, in particular translating from correspondent sources in Italian language.

The considered legal texts will be chosen on one hand from different fields of law, in particular from civil law, commercial law, criminal law and administrative law, on the other hand considering their different functions, distinguishing legislative texts, claims, requests, judgments, decrees and other procedural acts, contracts and forms, statutes etc.

The respective legal texts will be partly analyzed, explained and discussed with the students in class, partly the texts will be handed out for preparation at home and for being discussed the following lesson. A major attention will be given to the meaning of singular legal terms and formulations in both languages.

The assessment will consist in particular of the discussion concerning the handed out texts and of a written test, which will take place in the penultimate class, with the possibility to add an oral part to improve the mark in the final class. An active participation in class is desired.

The literature will be specified during class.
