winter semester 2020/2021 | Last update: 02.10.2020 | Place course on memo listThe student acquire the basic competences for defining specific subjects in educational science and for drafting related research questions. They understand the foundations of pedagogical action as well.
The Orientation Days open with a lecture, which offer a frame for the following podium discussion. The lecture gives the students an initial overview of the discipline and its developments as well as of vocational and work fields. At the end of the Orientation Days, former students of the Educational Science faculty discuss to what extent the knowledge acquired during their studies meets the expectations of the labor market.
Lectures, podium discussion, contributions from teaching staff and student representatives, close readings and supervised group work.
Close reading of particular paragraphs of: "Ökonomisches Kapital, kulturelles Kapital, soziales Kapital" by Pierre Bourdieu.

Working groups held on the afternoons of October 2nd and 3rd (accompanied by tutors). It is advisable to attend one of the lecture courses in order to meet the requirements of this course!
