603003 VO Introduction to Educational Science
winter semester 2020/2021 | Last update: 22.02.2021 | Place course on memo listThe students understand basic educational concepts and basic theoretical approaches as well as the main lines of the history of educational science. On the basis of this knowledge they are able to differentiate the everyday understanding of pedagogical processes from a scientific point of view. They have an overview of the basic historical development lines of education and “Bildung” and they are able to understand and to explain current problems of education in their historical genesis.
Historical and sytematic overview of central issues, problems and concepts of educational science, theoretical concepts and approaches. That includes discussions on education (wider and narrow sense), Bildung, institutionalised education.

Appointed day for exam is Feb, 2nd (last day for this course).
The written exam consists of five questions, each worth five points.
Grading: ≥12P = 4; ≥16P = 3; ≥19P = 2; ≥22P = 1.
Please be aware that no shows for the exam are banned from the following possible exam date.
