The heuristic value of recent unitarian analyses, particularly the work of Irene de Jong, Vincenzo di Benedetto, and others, both per se and as regards teaching classes. Because of the inherent limitations of those approaches other types of Homeric studies will be considered as well, especially neo-analysis
