Knowledge about theories and recent methods of linguistic research concerning how language (use) is conceived as a subject of fears, dreams and passions; ability to critically analyse language (use)

Our conceptions of language (use) are accompanied by different emotions. We love languages, varieties or expressions, we use languages as a tool, we are afraid to be discovered by our language use etc.

We will discover some of these emotions and metaphors that are used by simple language users as well as in linguistics and thereby take a look behind the curtains of linguistics.
