to ensure that students have CEFR B2 level in listening and speaking Skills. To promote receptive listening skills with particular stress on understanding gist and detail, and to promote oral skills and highlight problem areas in pronunciation, intonation, stress, grammar, vocabulary, fluency and oral communicative skills.

 

Use of a variety of texts on areas pertaining to English and American Studies, including literature, cultural, linguistic, media studies etc. Emphasis on pronunciation, stress and intonation; descriptive treatment of above topics areas.

 

Communicative and interactive approach, group work

Final exam consisting of both listening and speaking examinations. Assessed coursework consisting of 2 dialogue transcriptions and a group presentation.
