winter semester 2020/2021 | Last update: 24.08.2020 | Place course on memo listAcquisition of competences and a critical attitude in dealing with historical sources and representations of Contemporary History as well as the ability to present the newly-acquired knowledge in oral and/or written form; acquisition of the competent use of relevant scientific methods.
Reading and evaluation of historical sources and representations of a period and/or of a part of history; identification of the scholarly formulation of questions in history, historical representation and narratives; reading and evaluation of historiographical texts and analysis of their suitability as historical sources.
Reading, oral presentations with paper, written paper, discussion; teacher's lecture.
Course with continuous performance assessment: attendance at all sessions, regular and active participation in discussions, oral presentation with handout, final written paper (max. 5 pages).
Reading list will be provided.
Before attending this course it is recommended to complete the VO3 Basiswissen (basic knowledge) from the respective core subject.
