The are aware of the role ploayed by social conditions, prejudices and stereotypes when it comes to identifying, personal language development. The are familiar with the theoretical foundation and practical examples as well as the importance of a school culture that considers diversity as an important factor for the democratic development of the Austrian society.
Multilingualism, migration and interculturality make up the theoretical foundation. The basics of language-sensitive teaching and multilingualism in a classroom are conveyed through knowledge about German as a second language and the essential points of the most common language families. The omniprescence of mobility, cultural influences through contact, group relations and categorical thinking are presentet and connectet with identary theories by working with historical examples and analysing current events. The goal is a non racist education thaqt is sensitive towards prejudice. The curriculum for multilingualism and the index of inclusion create anchor points for educational practivces that take diversity into account.
