Students get to know the principles and main areas of testing, evaluation and assessing, which serve as a basis for the elaboration of good language tests and for the acquisition of assessment processes
Theories of testing and assessing, types and ways of testing and assessing the four skills and the linguistic competence (lexis, grammar) in the foreign language classroom
Input by lecturers, plenary discussions
Written assignments and test.
To be announced in one of the first sessions.
Successful completion of Compulsory Module 2 Bachelor's Programme Secondary School Teacher Training (General Education) Subject: English, French, Italian, Russian and Spanish.
A requirement for the admission is also the parallel registration for this course and for a language-specific course for testing and assessing.
This course is part of Compulsory Module 3 (“Evaluation of Modern Language Competences”) Bachelor's Programme Secondary School Teacher Training (General Education) Subject: English, French, Italian, Russian and Spanish. The admission to the course follows the conditions of admission (for information please consult the IMoF website: http://www.uibk.ac.at/imof/lehre.html).
Please note that for all groups the final test takes place on Wednesday, 27th January 2021, 5:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m., in lecture hall (Hörsaal) X.
