Along with the associated lecture, students deepen their knowledge and skills in planning their lessons both as single unit, as well as merging them to teach a topic or plan an annual program. Graduates are able to associate their teaching to science and environmental literacy as an overarching educational goal. In addition, they take students pre exiting/alternative ideas into consideration und are able to tailor their teaching to students needs and predefined learning goals. They choose theory and evidence based, student centred teaching and learning approaches, and are aware of various methodologies to support and assess students learning.

Lesson planning (single units to annual planning); Scientific and Environmental Literacy, theory and evidence based examples of teaching material/ and teaching methods/approaches, learning goals; formative and summative assessment, addressing socio scientific issues in biology classes.

Practice based examples of teaching biology and environmental education.

Short individual and group presentations, work assignments.
