Introduction to general diplomatics. Exercise in transcribing, in source criticism and interpretation. The focus is on imparting basic paleographic knowledge
We will exercise the content and methodological approaches of the auxiliary sciences with focus on diplomatics using case studies.
Exercises, case studies, discussion, lecture
Contribution in class; home exercises, short written exam.
Will be discussed in the first lesson.
Before attending this course it is recommended to complete the VO Basic Knowledge from the Middle Ages
