Graduates of this module are expected to understand and explain the content of the course, and to be able to apply the methods of the course. They should acquire the ability to work on further concepts and methods of Quantum Physics by themselves.

Time-dependent and time-independent perturbation theory, scattering theory, quantization of the electromagnetic field and basic interaction effects of the quantized light with an atom, relativistic Dirac and Klein-Gordon fields and their quantization.

Lecture, assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.
