Students acquire an overview of basic research methods applied in human geography. Furthermore, based on specific research questions, they are able to select, implement and evaluate the methods.

 

The module provides an overview of basic research methods applied in human geography. These include methods of quantitative and qualitative social research but also new approaches such as methods of discourse analysis and non-representational methods.
