Learning Outcome:

Students acquire a basic knowledge about important vegetation changes in Europe since the last glaciation, their causation and importance for future climate changes.

Contents:

Palaeo-ecology discloses the dimension of time, to evaluate the response of populations, communities and ecosystems to climatic and environmental changes, and to predict future global changes.

Methods:

Lecture, assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.

Assessment:

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations"

Literature:

Will be discussed in the first lesson.
