Biotechnology of Plants focuses on how we can exploit the response of plants to phytohormones for technological and conservational applications, such as tissue culture, plant propagation and germplasm storage. This will also highlight endogenous roles of phytohormones in plant development. 

Introductory lectures will cover the principles of the practicals designed to give hands-on experience of plant biotechnology protocols used in industry and plant conservation  

Media preparation, working in a sterile environment, Tissue culture, clonal plant propagation, hormonal treatments

This course will be taught in German and English
