The students can describe the Sustainable Development Goals and their genesis or intentions and classify them in a national and international context. They can exemplarily explain and critically discuss the (effective) relationships between the Sustainable Development Goals.
1st lecture "SDG 0":
The guest lecture series starts with a basic explanation of the genesis, the intentions and aims of the Sustainable Development Goals in a national and international context, but also how they are embedded in the strategy (strategies) of the University of Innsbruck.
2nd - 14th lecture:
In the subsequent meetings, the Sustainable Development Goals will be presented and discussed by the SDG coordinators of UniNEtZ or members of the AURORA partner universities.
Lecture (approx. 45 min) followed by a discussion moderated by representatives of the Rectorate (approx. 45 min).
16. Lecture
Final exam with open-ended examination questions that are suitable both to demonstrate the acquired basic knowledge about the genesis of the SDGs as well as their intentions and their integration in the national and/or international context.
Successful completion (examination) is assessed as " successfully completed".

- SDG 11 - Sustainable cities and communities: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable.
- SDG 12 - Responsible consumption and production: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.
- SDG 13 - Climate action: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts by regulating emissions and promoting developments in renewable energy.
- SDG 14 - Life below water: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.
- SDG 15 - Life on land: Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss.
- SDG 16 - Peace, justice and strong institutions: Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
- SDG 17 - Partnerships for the goals: Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
