Students possess basic knowledge of how to write sceintific proposals and of scientific project management.

- Tools and methods of project management
- project controlling and time management
- national and international funding
- development of concepts
- applications – „papers“
- valuation and discussion of an project application
- managing scientific projects
- Contract design from the point of view of a researcher
- difference between research contract and research funding.
A successful application for third party funding could be the first important step towards a scientific career.
Presentations (annotated slides) are uploaded at OLAT. Participants are asked to note down questions regarding the slides; these questions will be answered by the course instructors in a virtual meeting. There will be a fixed appointment (see dates) via BigBlueButton with all participants to discuss open questions.
Assessment: written project concept (max. 10 pages) by Feb 28, 2021
