Students are able to develop, represent and present simple designs under guidance. They can apply various design-oriented techniques such as sketching, modelbuilding, plan-drawing and digital-modeling. They understand the essential aspects of design processes in relation to spatial production, typology, construction and artistic methods, and can integrate design-relevant criteria.
Imparting the aspects of content, concept and methodology of architectural design through a simple design task. Teaching basic presentation techniques.
As part of the Kurzsentewerfen, the students will deal with constructive systems within a relevant typology. The connection between the logic of construction, the joining of components, material economy and architectural expression is examined and tested using own designs and case studies.
Goal
Designing a spatial system with a focus on construction and joining. Representation of the design in the form of a physical model.
The students develop several prototypical construction principles from design and working models, which are evaluated critically. A selected principle is used for each team in the development of the spatial system.
Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations".
Will be discussed in the first lesson.
