Students are able to apply classical formalisms to derive the equations of motion of rigid bodies. They have basic knowledge of the structure and behavior of multibody systems with constraints and have the competence to model a real mechanical system as a classical multibody system. Students are able to perform a vibration analysis of simple dynamic systems.

Principle of D'Alembert in Lagrange's version; basics of multibody dynamics; dynamics of rigid and flexible bodies; centrifugal equations; Eigenmodes and natural frequencies; exercises with software tools.

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations".

Will be discussed in the first lesson.
