Contemporary Problems in Faith and Reason: Philosophical Arguments for the Existence of God

The students are going to become acquainted with contemporary literature on philosophical theology. They will learn to understand and critically evaluate arguments for the existence of God. They shall acquire the capacity to develop and defend their own views on the issue.
Are there sound philosophical arguments for the existence of God? In contemporary debates, one can notice a revival of philosophical or “natural” theology.
Short lectures, reading and discussion of texts.
Active participation, term papers.
