Basic Questions in Contemporary Philosophy of Religion

Acquaintance with and critical assessment of important contemporary positions in the philosophy of religion.

Introduction to contemporary debates in the philosophy of religion beyond philosophical theology in the narrower sense, e.g. the problem of evil, petitionary prayer, hiddenness of God, hermeneutic and analytic philosophy, analytic theology.

Lecture inputs and discussion.

Written exam.

For Bachelor's Programme in  Philosophy at the Catholic Theology Faculty (C 033 194): positive completion of compulsory module 3.
