202120 SE Anthropology: Reading Course: Me and the others: The Philosophy of interpersonal relations
summer semester 2021 | Last update: 30.03.2021 | Place course on memo listAcquaintance with the central anthropological topic of interpersonal relations.
Our relationship with others is not always easy. Sometimes other people bother us, on the other hand we cannot live without them. We hardly understand them, on the other hand we love (some of) them and feel sympathy for them.
In the seminar we discuss based on selected texts (Sartre, Levinas, Beckermann, Rawls, Meltzoff) the following questions: Are the others for us a threat or an enrichment? How can we understand others? Which role play the others for the development our Self? Is love a big misunderstanding or are we able to share our views, interests or even our life with other people?
Reading and discussion of the texts.
Essays.
