The lecture offers an introduction to descriptive statistics (matrices, frequency tables, measure of centralisation, measure of variation, correlation) and inductive statistics. Inductive statistics implies knowledge about how to make inference from a sample to the population and how to measure (un)certainty of such an inference.
Introduction to the basics of applied statistics for social sciences with emphasis on statistical data analysis
Lecture, assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.
