Students are able to explain the logics of the current statistical procedures and approaches in empirical research of social sciences and they understand their logics and procedures in terms of empirical research. They acquire basic knowledge of the statistical methods used in empirical data analyses.

Steps of a social research project including

- questionnaire
- sampling
- data analysis with SPSS
- data presentation
Continuous assessment (based on regular written and/or oral contribution by participants).
