Curr. § 5 Abs 1 Z 10:

Students acquire basic knowledge of the theories and processes of regional development, town and country relations as well as rural and development sociology (in Austria, Europe and Southern countries). Students acquire knowledge of the practical relevance and the use of theoretical models – e.g. of rural sociology

 The seminar deals with practical procedures in relation to regional development processes (in countries of the North and the South) with case studies from the scientific literature and concrete (research) projects. In addition, questions of peasant identities, gender relations in rural areas and nutritional sociology are discussed.

 Presentations, writing key messages of compulsory literature, preparation and presentation of texts by the students, discussion, group work

 Immanent examinations:

Continuous assessment, evaluation of written key-messages, preparation and presentation of scientific literature texts, active participation in discussions and written take-home-test

Will be discussed in the first session.

positive completion of the compulsory module according to Curr. § 5 Para 1 No 2.
