418115 SE Interdisciplinary Competencies: Media - Knowledge - Education
summer semester 2021 | Last update: 24.03.2021 | Place course on memo listThis module aims at expanding the study programme and at acquiring additional qualifications in the field of interdisciplinary media and communication research.
Providing the availability of places, courses corresponding to 10 ECTS-Credits can be chosen from the involved institutions (LehrerInnenbildung West), with the exception of courses from the other teaching subject. With regard to professional practice it is recommended to take courses on media-related topics (e.g. methods of media research, e-inclusion, digital divide, media analysis, visual competence, media history, media didactics, media and gender, media and politics, media communication, media languages, intermediality, e-education, e-learning, media competence, media activism, media sociology, media psychology, media and knowledge management, media and spaces, media ethics, media aesthetics).
Central questions are:
‒ Which concepts of media, knowledge and education are relevant in current educational studies, interdisciplinary research and educational policy discourses?
‒ How are these concepts related and what critical perspectives are fruitful?
‒ How can the dynamics between discourse contexts be described?
Special attention will be drawn to the conf theme of MWB2021 "Media – Knowledge – Education: Critical Ecologies and Ecologies of Criticism"
Reading; Presentation, Discourse; participation in discussions
Presentation of work in progress and assessed paper
Will be introduced in the first lesson and via Moodle.
