Ability to critically handle and reflect different research methods.
Ability to analyze explanations and instructions based on recent linguistic research.
Ability to write a paper.
Language(s) and varieties give rise to conflicts – e.g. about the authorised language for a specific purpose at a specific time and place, or the appropriate language, stile or the correct wording.
But conflicts are also verbally enacted as well as mediated.
In the seminar we will deal with both aspects of the topic and we will follow conflicts in different situations and media.
