Consolidation of linguistic skills in American Spanish phonetics, syntax, morfology and textlinguistics with special focus on discourse analysis.

Theoretical and practical approaches on phonetic, morphological, syntactic and text-linguistic level; main focus is on the different syntactic patterns in Spanish varieties round the Americas.

Didactic conversations, theoretical knowledge applied to examples, exercises as well as to fundamental problems.

Regular participation and preparation before and after the units, presentation and written paper (10 pages). A written exam at the end of the semester with questions according to the SMALL READING LIST.

Bibliography and course documents are being given to the students during the term (OLAT, copies)
