The students can enter unprerpared in and sustain a longer conversation on a vast variety of different topics relevant for their fields of study. (level B1/B2)

What issues are of concern to people in Russia and what is their everyday life like? What topics do they discuss in different media, what literary texts do they read, what films do they watch? And finally: What should one know about the country and its people to communicate successfully with speakers of the target language? Selected topics from different media will be discussed on the basis of specific tasks and relevant lexical fields will be continuously focused on.

Partner and group discussions, presentations, role plays etc.

Active participation, presentations, oral examination at the end of term.
