The students can analyze current events and processes and apply theoretical concepts critically. The students have knowledge of the application of empirical research methods in political education.
The students critically deal with theories, events and processes in the development of liberal democracy in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. The students discuss related challenges for civic education with the aim of promoting political awareness. Furthermore, there is an examination of empirical research methods in civic education.
