The acquisition of basic skills in dealing with ancient sources.

This tutorial will offer an introduction to the development of the cult of saints in Late Antiquity. Saints, in their presence as living people, as relics, or as figures of thought, influenced the lives of Christians for centuries, starting in Late Antiquity. By analysing hagiographic and historiographic sources, students will also learn how to handle ancient sources in a critical and scholarly manner.
