We are using the handwritten diary of an officer from the First World War to train all necessary steps of preparing and analyzing a source für the scientific process.
This means reading and transcribing of German handwriting as well as collating and finally using the tools Transkribus and MAXQDA.
For interested students there will probably exist the possibility to continue working on the transcription and preparing it for a publication.
Practical training in reading, transcribing and analyzing of German handwritten texts.
Continous contribution in class, preparing transcripts.
Literature and auxiliaries will be discussed in class.
